The Nelson Pub in Burnham Market

Your local country pub with rooms.

A beautifully appointed country pub in the heart of Burnham Market, The Nelson offers contemporary British dining and pared-back comfortable accommodation. The Nelson pub in Burnham Market

Recently refurbished throughout, The Nelson Burnham Market combines traditional character and architectural features with modern comfort and style. From the seven individually furnished bedrooms to the dining area, bar and coffee bar, the unique interior is designed to welcome guests (and their furry-friends) from near and far.

Burnham Market, one of North Norfolk’s most popular destinations, is just a stone’s throw from the stunning Norfolk coastline, celebrating the food offered by local food trucks in and around Norfolk. It’s a new concept around here, but there’s everything from pizza to falafel to fish and chips! We’re not a gastropub, and we don’t intend to be, but we believe we’ve got a strong offering that provides lots of tasty options for all the family.

Whether you’re joining us for a weekend away, or impromptu drinks with friends, we can’t wait to welcome you.

Norfolk has an amazing food scene, with local meat, seafood and more. But instead of just being another pub, we’re introducing a new concept… We’ve partnered up with a number of spectacular local food trucks from around the area who will be feeding hungry tummies their fabulous food on specific days of the week. We’re in the process of finalising the details, so keep an eye on our website for more information!

Whether you’re joining us for a fleeting visit, a long weekend, or an extended getaway, you’ll be greeted with the most comfortable of lodgings and the warmest of welcomes. From our picturesque location, you can explore the beautiful village of Burnham Market and the glorious North Norfolk coastline. Did we mention we’re dog friendly too?

Great find Lovely little find! Great staff and reasonable prices. Good place for lunch and catch up with old friends. Great location only a short walk from the main village which hosts some lovely little shops
A good stop for a pub lunch. A lovely pub. A little cold inside, not in terms of temperature, but instead in terms of decor - thin wooden chairs and tables, a bit like a cafe. However, we went outside into the garden and it was fabulous. What seemed like new booths, and the food was really good. We had the prawn and steak sandwiches. Prawn = amazing. Steak didn’t have very much… steak!! We paid an extra £1.50 as we asked for a beef sandwich but they had run out. We got some tiny slithers of steak, so this could be improved. However, portions were good, chips delicious and fab service. Would recommend!!
Good food Went on a Tuesday night and got a table the food was very good and lots of it,really friendly staff and dog friendly as well

Worth stopping here Homemade, tasty and good value. We popped in here for a quick bite to eat. Lamb kofta with pitta and beautiful mint yoghurt dressing. Also scampi with a lovely chunky homemade tartar sauce. All washed down with cider and a good Spanish beer. Good value and would recommend

A gem of a find. Out for the day along the Norfolk coast and came across this gem of a pub....the seafood platter is amazing....for £50...or £60 with half a lobster we thought was too good to be true!!!....Well we were wrong....for £50 we got.... Giant shell on prawns Scampi Whitebait Prawns Smoked salmon 2 fresh cod goujons A dressed crab which honestly was amazing 2 freshly made fish cakes which I wouldn't even let my other half try as they were so good!!! Freshly made skin on fries Salad with a homemade dressing which I wish I could have bought. Fresh bread Thousand island dressing And a homemade tartar sauce which I will be returning for with what we have even if its just to take it home!!! The pub was very clean and current with decor....wish we could have stayed as it would have been so pretty at night in a lovely location. Good choice of beers...wines and spirits too. Very welcoming atmosphere....we definitely will be returning to try other things on the menu as we kept looking at the food coming out and everything looked excellent....
